If our thoughts, words, and deeds are coming from our subconscious mind 95% of the time, how do we alter it? Its not as hard as it might seem. When changing anything in our lives, we start from what is visible and work our way back to the root. What is “visible” in the subconscious is our words.
Its interesting that we go through our day making declarative statements that shape our experiences. When focused on “lack” for instance you will find statements like,” I can't afford...,”or,” If only I....” These statements perpetuate an experience of lack. Einstein said that definition of insanity was doing the same thing and expecting a different result. That being said, we are all crazy. Each of us does the same things day after day 95% of the time.
Statements are made in the present moment. Focusing on the future being successful is a statement that the present is lacking. The reality is that when you experience success, it will be in your present moment. Think about it this way, you can't go to the store next Thursday right now. Right now you are not at the store. Nothing can be done next Thursday right now, nor can it be done last Thursday right now. There is only one moment that you have control. The successful future is a byproduct of focusing on successful present moments. When the present moment successes become cumulative, you will experience the success you seek.
From a spiritual perspective, the word “Amen” means, “so be it,” not,” So it will be,” or,”So it was.” Buddha said,”what we think we become, We create our world.” When asked what diet they should follow, Jesus said to the disciples,” I would be more worried about what comes out of your mouth rather than what goes in.” When Moses asked the burning bush what God's name was,” God said, "I Am that I Am.” “You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” said Gandhi.
The concepts are timeless. Alter your present moment through your thoughts words and deeds and you will experience something different. How is that done? Here is one trick that will help greatly. Pick up one of those digital voice recorders. The new ones record up to 20 hours. Turn it on, stick it in your pocket and go about your day. That evening listen to what your words say about your present moment. Realize that is what your subconscious mind is creating. Once you are aware of your words, you will begin to notice them as you speak them and you can start altering the declarative statements you make to something more positive. “I can't,” can be easily changed to,” I Am learning new things.” As your present moments get altered so will your subconscious mind.
There is a theory that twenty one days of repeated action creates a habit. What this theory is proving is that he subconscious mind can be altered. Change your words for twenty one days and you have created the habit of success.
I ask again, how are you?
